"I admit to some trepidation at first. Proclaiming one’s goals is something that requires courage and self confidence, and I now realize that this is the point. I am working up to wearing it proudly, and for the time being it rests on my desk so that I read it every time I reach for my scissors. Each and every time I read it I gain a bit more courage, self-confidence and inspiration. It is a gentle, happy, and welcomed nudge towards my goal.
I think I am going to wear it tomorrow and see what happens."
Tracy, New York, NY "I want to sell the items I sew"

"Wearing my badge was a lot of fun. As soon as I put it on I knew that I was in store for some curious looks from the guests at the dinner party I was attending that night. Since curious looks often lead to conversation, I was excited to see what would transpire. Sure enough, as soon as I arrived the badge was noticed and questions were asked. It made for an easy, fun intro and really got people thinking about their lives and what it is they really want. It elevated the conversations from the normal, typical, 'what do you do' small talk to the bigger, more meaningful, 'what do you want?' big talk. This is a genius idea! I love it!"

"Intentions? the first time I heard about it I said, yeah, right, if it only was this easy. Then I was late to a yoga class and I really needed to find a parking spot on the "impossible-to -find-a-parking-spot Larchmont". So, I figure, well, what have I got to lose, I'll try, and I said "I intend to find a parking spot right in front of the yoga place and be in class in perfect time". And for a second I believed in it. I turned on Larchmont just when a car was driving out of the spot in front of the entrance to the yoga place. I drove into it and turned off my car. I got elated with joy and I thought "Then it's true, it does work! It works for all areas of my life, too, just like this".
Intentions do make our lives what they are, conscious and subconscious . When they are conscious intentions they are even more powerful. A "Badge of Intent" is such a phenomenal idea since not only it makes it clear and conscious, but it constantly sends it out into the universe.  Thank you!"

"Hi Guys!
Okay, I'll admit it... I actually had my badge for three days before I felt "brave" enough to wear it in public. I guess I was afraid of what people were going to think of me, wondering if I belonged to a New Age cult, or was part of some feeble class psychology experiment. Either way, I decided to that my dreams were never going to be realized if I continued to keep them hidden like a dirty secret. So, I wore my badge to work first. People there already knew about my passion for writing, so I was pretty safe.My co-workers were excited about my step towards creative independence,(and perhaps the opportunity for a WAY cool job) and several of them wanted to know where they could get a badge of intent as well.Spurred by the interest of my co-workers, I wore the badge to pick up my lunch. I noticed the McDonald's worker's eyes flit down to my badge and looked puzzled. Then he grinned and kept calling me "Kelly"  every chance he got. HMMMM... Not exactly the reaction I was looking for. Undaunted, I decided that I would wear the badge everywhere.I welcomed the opportunity to fend off questions, and to help people realize the importance of networking with others, and casting your desires out into the universe. After work, my husband and I went shopping at Costco. My husband(bless his little conservative soul) asked me if I was going to take my badge off before we went into the store. I explained that this was something that I felt strongly about, and no, I wasn't going to take the badge off. In Costco, people noticed my badge, but said nothing. It was interesting to watch their eyes, however. Their eyes would scan my name badge and then they would look closely at me to see if I was writer material. Some folks smiled, others looked at me like I was something stuck to the bottom of their Reeboks. Whatever their reaction was, I embraced it as part of my journey.Today marks day two of my badge wearing efforts, and I am confident that the people who are supposed to ask about my badge, will. As for the rest of 'em...well, they won't get a guest spot in my best-selling book!
God bless each of you as we go through this process together. I can't wait to hear everyone's stories of positive growth and success!"
Kelly, Prescott Valley, AZ - "I want to be a best selling author"

"Well, at first, when I wore the badge, people looked at me with puzzlement.  So, I explained the purpose and intent of the badge.  "Oh", they replied, "Uh, huh".  But then, after they thought about it for a while, they would come back and say, "Hey, that's a great idea".
It was kind of like wearing your heart on your sleeve."  They then wanted to know more about the program, and then even more about my goals -- and still more about the film business.
So, it was definitely an ice breaker."
  Michael, Woodland Hills, CA

"I was really surprised how much fear I had at first about wearing my Badge. I was afraid everyone would think it was strange. Some people look at it and say nothing, some notice it and ask questions and some people don't even notice it at all. I wear it everyday and now its just second nature.
I love the fact that wearing my Badge affects me on different levels. First, everyday when I put it on, it reaffirms a goal that I have set for myself. When I wear it and people ask me about it, it ultimately challenges them to ask themselves, "What do I really want? It has opened up some very interesting channels of conversations.  And I did recently have someone tell me they knew of someone who could possibly help me in the future with my goal, so it's working on that level also. My Badge has created the feeling within me that my life holds great possibility, which is what this whole idea is all about."
Cynthia, Prescott, AZ  - " I want to sell my screenplay."

"I think the best part of wearing my Badge of Intent is the fact that people ask me about my novel.   Prior to wearing my Badge, it is not something that would come up in general conversation.  My close friends and family knew about it, but I am not sure that anyone took me seriously.    Because I wear my Badge everyday people, including my family, now think of me as an author and novelist.  Sure I wrote a novel but I am not sure that I was giving myself the credit for actually doing it.  Now, because the perception of the people around me has changed, my perception of myself has changed.   I am an author; I am a novelist.  The idea of being published does not seem like pie in the sky, it actually feels possible and likely.  It is really exciting!"
Kristine, Los Angeles, CA - "I want to publish my novel"

"I think this is a great idea! When I shop after work in my uniform, wearing my work name badge with place of origin, I am frequently asked questions about my work or my hometown. My badge acts as an invitation for conversation. I think a badge with my true desire may be able to open new doors and/or possibilities."
