About Us
Our Philosophy

We feel that each person creates their own reality by the thoughts they choose and that those thoughts create tangible things.  We also feel and have experienced the fact that people want to help each other.   Let's face it, it makes people feel good when they have the opportunity to help one another.  Most people want to lend a hand when they can, but often, when we think of helping people, we think of donating money, time commitments, or the pressure of having to join a charitable organization.  But what if you could help someone with the resources that you already had?  Maybe you have a business contact that someone could use, or a job lead that would match the perfect employee and employer?  Or simply a service that you could provide for someone in trade for other goods and services that you needed?  In order to help you achieve your goals, people have to know what you want and what you need.  We've created a simple way to do that.

The Badge of Intent.

Wearing a Badge of Intent is a simple ice breaker that in a friendly and non-threatening way allows you to share your hopes and goals with the people you come into contact with everyday.  You never know when the person scanning your groceries knows of a great apartment for rent or has a friend in the publishing business.  In a way it encompasses the six degrees of separation rule, in that you never know who knows who, who does what and how we can be of help to each other.  It is also an everyday reminder to you of your goal and what you want to accomplish.  Every day that you attach your Badge of Intent you look at it, read it and remind yourself and the Universe of what you want.

Wearing a Badge of Intent is courageous, fun, and inspiring.  There is no reason we all can't have what we want.  There is plenty to go around.

How it all Began

In July of 2008, Cynthia was attending a State Career and Technical Education Conference in Tucson, Arizona. Her best friend Kristine decided to fly out from L.A. to join her, since they had not spent much time together in the last few years, due to jobs and family. Cynthia would spend the days at the conference, while Kristine read and relaxed by the pool. At night, they hoped to catch up on some much needed girl time and friendship.

Upon arriving at the hotel, they noticed that the employees were all wearing badges that stated their names and what their passion was. For example, one might say: “John - my passion is music.” They thought this was a great customer service idea, something that immediately engaged the guests.  They started taking the idea further. ‘What if the badge had your name, and what you wanted on it?”  Maybe your passion is music, but what you really want is a record deal. They agreed that it is human nature to want to help one another. In fact, they both believe that in helping others get what they want, you create the path in getting what you want.

They decided that they would create badges for themselves that stated their names and what they wanted. They talked a lot about what they would put on our own badge, and to be honest, there was some fear in making a commitment. But, the more they talked about the concept, the more excited they became. Their first goal was to get the badges made. It seemed like something that they would work on after the conference, sort out when they got home.

However, a day into the conference, Cynthia was attending different exhibitor’s booths. She stopped by one that caught her attention. They were promoting an engraving machine, which made plaques; trophies and you guessed it…name badges. Hmmm.  Cynthia quickly called Kristine and told her what was going on. It seemed clear to them that this was an idea that really wanted to be manifested. Cynthia asked the woman demonstrating the equipment if she could purchase two badges, but since this was a demo; the woman could make them for her gratis. Quickly, because the booths would close in the afternoon, they had to come up with their intentions. The time limit made them overcome any reservations they had about stating what they truly wanted. Nothing like a deadline to help you make up your mind.

What started out as a simple idea has blossomed into a dream and a passion. They are very excited to start this journey together, and hope that you join them in starting a movement, one that promotes success, communication and friendship.
